An Australian buys Japanese manga in Vietnam

I imagine it’s not very common to find a white guy pawing through second-hand book shops looking for Japanese romance manga for teenage girls translated into Vietnamese.

But today, for a little while, along Mhunh Man Dat street in Saigon it wasn’t uncommon at all. There was just one though. Me.

Why ? Yi’s bedridden for a bit. I thought she’d like something to read and I know that despite translated manga being incredibly popular in Vietnam, she never had any growing up.
